Isobutyl Nitrite
The chemical formula C4H9NO2 denotes isobutyl nitrite which is a form of organic alkyl nitrite and is the resultant ester of isobutanol and nitrous acid in chemical terms. Isobutyl nitrite appears to be a colorless liquid under normal conditions and has a pungent smell. Isobutyl Nitrite is a drug and is generally used to dilate the blood vessels of a patient or else for recreational purposes by people.
Isobutyl Nitrite was earlier known widely as poppers because it came in transparent capsules which needed to be popped open for inhaling the drug. Possession of these drugs is not illegal but they are controlled under the Medicines Act and hence supplying these drugs can be an offence.

Isobutyl nitrite is overall safe to use by general people. It must be inhaled as it is poisonous when ingested. This drug induces a brief euphoria in most people and can be often used successfully for recreational purposes and before having sex. People also use this drug at clubs before dancing. This organic drug is often sold in room deodorants as open selling may require an extra pharmaceutical permission. This drug is also used as a part of antidote package for cyanide poisoning.
Overall, isobutyl nitrite is currently still going research and laws are still being reformed regarding its distribution in the United States. This drug has not yet shown to have any serious ill effects if taken normally.
